From Employers: Name, company, email, phone, billing info (via Stripe), and job posting content.
From Job Applicants: Name, email, phone, cover message, and resume file — transmitted directly to the employer.
Automatically: IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and analytics data to improve our services.
CV Builder Tool: Information you enter is processed by the Anthropic Claude AI API to generate your resume. Data is not permanently stored beyond your session.
CV Watermark Tool: Your files never leave your device. All processing occurs locally in your browser — nothing is transmitted to our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve our job board services
- To connect job applicants with employers
- To process employer subscriptions and payments
- To send transactional emails (application notifications, account updates)
- To send marketing emails to registered employers (with opt-out)
- To analyze site usage and improve user experience
- To comply with legal obligations
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these circumstances:
- With Employers: Application data (name, email, phone, resume) is shared with the posting employer
- Payment Processing: Billing info processed by Stripe — we never store full card numbers
- Email Delivery: We use SendGrid to deliver emails
- Third-Party Job Feeds: External listings (Jooble) redirect to those platforms
- Voluntary Contributions: If you choose to make a contribution, you are directed to a third-party platform (Ko-fi, PayPal, or Buy Me a Coffee). Any information you provide there is collected and handled by that platform under its own privacy policy; CRNACareers.net does not receive or store your payment details.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
4. Data Retention
- Employer account data: retained while active and 2 years after closure
- Job application data: retained for 1 year
- Resume files: stored securely for 90 days then automatically deleted
- Email unsubscribe preferences: retained indefinitely to honor opt-out
- CV Builder data: not retained after your browser session ends
5. CV Builder Privacy
- Information entered is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your CV
- Anthropic's privacy policy governs their handling of this data
- We do not permanently store content entered into the CV Builder
- Generated CVs are created in your browser and not stored on our servers
6. CV Watermark Tool Privacy
- Your CV file never leaves your device
- No file data is transmitted to our servers
- Processing occurs locally using browser-based JavaScript
- We collect no data from your use of this tool
7. Security
- SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmission
- Encrypted password storage using industry-standard hashing
- Secure file storage outside the public web directory
- Two-factor authentication for administrative access
- Regular security monitoring and updates
8. Your Rights
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
